IELTS Preparation

Get the score your future depends on. With 20 years’ teaching experience across four continents and postgraduate qualifications from Oxford and Exeter, I offer focused IELTS coaching that targets exactly where you’re losing marks – whether that’s Task 2 argument structure, speaking fluency under pressure, or the precision Band 7+ writing demands. No generic lesson plans: every session is built around your test date, your weak band, and the score you need for university, immigration, or work.

Proficiency (C2)

Move from fluent to flawless. If you’re already comfortable in English but want the nuance, idiom, and stylistic control that C2 Proficiency demands, this is targeted coaching for the final stretch – the register shifts, collocations, and rhetorical precision that separate a strong C1 speaker from a true C2 one. Drawing on decades in ELT and a career built on the craft of English writing, I’ll help you close the gap that self-study can’t.

Professionals

Sound as sharp in English as you do in your own language! For executives and professionals who already work in English but want to communicate with more authority, clarity, and ease – in meetings, presentations, negotiations, or writing – I offer tailored one-to-one coaching grounded in real communications strategy, not textbook drills. We work on your actual emails, calls, and pitches, so the improvement shows up where it matters: at work.

About Me

Language has been the thread running through my entire life. My initial curiosity turned into a career. After graduating from Christ Church Oxford with a degree in French and German, followed not long after by a Diploma in TEFL and an M.Ed from the University of Exeter (both with Distinction) a few years later, I’ve spent the last four decades, living and working across three continents, teaching, training, translating, and writing – and always relishing the doors language has opened into people`s lives and cultures. I’ve lived long-term in Germany, China, Turkey, Eritrea, Czechia, Slovakia, Bangladesh, France and Spain, and visited dozens of other countries from India to Somalia and from Hong Kong to Libya, under the auspices of the British Council, VSO, Trinity College London and Cambridge Education Consultants, amongst many others.
